Selective Colour Photography
Saturday 26 April
Asilomar State Beach, Pacific Grove, CA - 10am - 2 Hours
Izzy Lyons
Selective colour can be done in a couple of ways. You can find a subject with a strong dominant colour, a lady in red for example amongst people wearing drab colours. Or you can use a mode which some cameras have in which you can isolate a particular colour within a scene whilst all other colours are turned to B W. Either way this will be a session which will help us hunt down images and increase ones 'eye' for strong photographs.

The term "hip shot" or "cowboy shot" is sometimes used to describe a camera angle where the subject is framed from the hip up, often seen in Western films to show a character's gun or holster. Shooting a camera from the hip, or hip shooting, is a technique where a photographer captures a photo without looking through the viewfinder, instead holding the camera at waist or hip level and clicking the shutter button.
